Spring Breeze

Spring Breeze is the first main game you will have access to. It's probably best to stay off the sub-games right now but if you want you could sprinkle those here and there to break it up.

Spring Breeze is actually a remake of Kirby's Dream Land, which was the first Kirby game made. There is a few differences to note if you played the original though.

  • You can now use Copy Abilities, guard, Helpers, and other Super Star Ultra mechanics in the game
  • The levels are greatly shortened and less complicated in terms of layout
  • In addition to above, the entire second level and the third boss have been removed. So that way, the first level is like the first level in the original, the second level has third level (from the original) elements but has the second boss from the original instead, and the third and final levels are based on levels 4 and 5 from the original, respectively.
  • Many of the enemies are removed to make the game easier
  • Extra Mode is removed
  • Although this could be counted as "shortened levels", the mini level/boss rush before the final boss is removed as well
  • "Power Ups" segments from the original seem to have been removed, too
  • After you beat the final boss, you can then start the game from any level you want from the Spring Breeze title screen
  • If you are anyone about nostalgia, the game uses a new, polished Super Star Ultra soundtrack
That's pretty much it, so I'll move onto the main walkthrough now. Just saying, you can literally beat this game in 10 minutes on average, this walkthrough is just there for those who need it.

Anyways, enough intro. Let's move onto the main walkthrough!

========================================================================
Walkthrough (Full Guidance)
========================================================================
So, this is for people who want step-by-step help/walkthrough the whole way through. Expect this part to be kinda long. Watch the tutorial if this is your first time playing. I'll almost never say the actual buttons and instead say what Kirby's doing. For example, suck the Sir Kibble and swallow it to get Cutter. So WATCH THE TUTORIAL IF YOU NEED IT THIS IS A WARNING
========================================================================
Level 1: Green Greens
========================================================================
So watch the little min scene of Kirby getting chased by the butterflies, then the game will start. Go right, and get used to seeing that text cause I'm going to say that a lot. Suck the one-eyed cyclops thing (It's called a Waddle Doo)  up and get the Beam ability. Keep going right, kill the mushroom (Cappie) and the pink bug (Bronto Burt, or I guess since we're playing a remake of Kirby's Dream Land, Bront Burt call it whatever), make a helper from you're Beam ability, then enter the first door you see.

In here, grab the pink guy's ability (He's called a Sir Kibble, also he's yellow in other games) to get the Cutter ability. Eat the tomato (Maxim Tomato it's called apparently Kirby likes tomatoes I guess) to fully restore you're Hp. Exit this room.

Keep going right, bash the enemy, jump the gap, kill the Bronto Burt and the Waddle Dee (The orange guy) and enter the door.

Here, grab the bomb thrower's ability (it's called a Poppy Bro. Jr if you didn't know) for the Bomb ability, then proceed to fight a mid-boss.

Poppy Bro. Sr is essentially a large Poppy Bro. Jr. He will hop around, jump to the other end of the room, and sometimes throw bombs. Just attack until he's dead.

Break the bombs ahead for some food, kill the enemies, and enter the door.

Now you're inside a tree. Kill the Waddle Doo and the bear (I don't know what in the world it's called, I'll just call it a bear) and break the blocks. Grab the 1-up and keep going up. At the top, break the left block for some more food, then enter the door at the top of the tree.

Drop down the holes in the floor to reach the boss of this level.

Whispy Woods... is the one and only legendary tree in the Kirby franchise. And that's not all! He's literally the easiest boss in the whole game and always will be. He will drop apples and shoot out air puffs, and that's about it. Suck up the apples and shoot them at the boss if you ever need ammo. Other then that there's not much to say. Victory will be yours if you keep persistent.

Of course, if you have an ability you can just spam attack and he's dead pretty quick as well 😅
========================================================================
Level 2: Float Islands
========================================================================
Okaaaay, the fish is still alive in Kirby's mouth...

Anyways, to start off the level, kill or eat the Knuckle Joe, he's right in front of you when the level starts. Avoid the fish and the three squids then enter the door.

Here, drop down and kill the wood statue thing (called Kabu) and by the way he can teleport. Break the blocks to the left to grab the food, then go right and up the ladder. Here, at the end of the passage, break the blocks to find a door. Enter it. Here, swim low so that the exploding coconuts don't hurt you so you can grab the 1-up. Go back the way you came. Back here, go down and right, break the blocks, and enter that door.

You will be right outside. Hop on the warp star as you head for the castle in the distance.

You will be right outside Castle Lololo's main gates. Eat the candy, which will make you invulnerable, then run through the entire thing like crazy. Enter that door.

If you still have the invulnerability, run right into the ice mid boss to kill it (it's called Mr. Frosty). Hop on the warp star when you're done.

Here on the castle battlements, Make your partner whatever ability you had before, then go eat the guy with the sword while avoiding the Sir Kibble and the bomb to get the Sword ability! Also, if you didn't know, the bomb is called a Bomber and the sword guy is called Blade Knight. Enter the next door for boss time.

So you'll be up against Lololo and Lalala here. If you have an ability, get out of the way and attack them from behind whenever they attack. If you don't have an ability, eat the blocks that they push unless it's spiky (called a Gordo). From there, get off the same level as them, then when they pass you, hop up and spit it out at them. Repeat this until they are dead.

You will be outside again after you defeat the boss. Grab the star to end the stage.
========================================================================
Level 3: Bubbly Clouds
========================================================================
Watch as stars fall from the sky and knock Kirby off the cloud, then the level will begin.

Go right, using the two Blade Knights to make a helper and get the Sword ability. Head into the door.

Get Cutter, Beam, or Mirror from the enemies, or stay with Sword, head to the top of the room to enter the door and to the next room.

Quickly float to avoid falling to death, then grab the food on the ledge and head to the top right corner so you can enter the door.

You will be falling a good distance, then you will engage Kracko Jr. in battle.

There will be a Waddle Doo and the boss itself when you start. The boss's patterns are really predictable. He will always dive, end up on the other side of the room, then either drop an enemy or do his beam attack. Just suck the enemies up and spit 'em at him. When you're done, head out.

Here, head right, then eat blocks and spit them out to destroy the block wall. Grab the 1-up and the food in the wall as well. Head to the top right then against the wall, fall to get a Metamato and quickly float to avoid falling down the pit. Head back and through the door.

Head to the top off the room killing enemies as you go. Once you reach the top, though, don't head through the door! Instead, go up more and enter the moon as if it as a door. You will end up in a secret room.

Grab the food and the 1-up as you fall. At the bottom you will fight a sleep enemy and a hammer mini boss (called Bonkers). Kill the mini boss, then eat it to get the Hammer ability! This is literally the most overpowered ability in the game. I'm not kidding. Keep the Hammer Ability unless you you absolutely MUST get rid of it. Anyways, head through the door to start this level's boss fight.

Kracko is kinda hard, but not really. He's like Kracko Jr., and easy if you have Hammer. Just explore the possibilities of Hammer and smash this boss to bits. After, grab the star to end the level.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Final Level: Mount Dedede
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Once you fly into Castle Dedede the level will begin.

Once you land, find the bomb enemy and take the Bomb ability. Go into the door at the center of the room to begin the boss.

I swear I am not kidding when I say this next part.

You will find yourself in King Dedede's wrestling ring.

This boss is pretty easy actually. King Dedede flinches every time you hit him, so just chuck as many bombs at him as you can and you'll have this battle in the bag.

After the boss, watch the ending and as the awesome music plays, the credits will play faster that Sonic...

And that's the end of Spring Breeze mode in Kirby Super Star Ultra.

After you will unlock Dyna Blade, Gourmet Race, and The Great Cave Offensive.

The Dyna Blade walkthrough is currently in progress. It will come out in January 8th or so.
